The maxillary sinus is an anatomical feature of particular importance for dental implant placement. Located above the premolars and molars of the upper jaw, the bone height often becomes insufficient for implant placement following the loss of these teeth. In such cases, a sinus lift can help create enough bone for implant placement.
A sinus lift is a surgical procedure that increases the bone height in the upper jaw by moving the internal membrane of the sinus and placing a bone graft. This allows for the growth of new bone, capable of supporting dental implants.
In our clinic, we use the most modern equipment for performing a sinus lift. The piezotome, a state-of-the-art tool, allows us to carry out the procedure safely, quickly, and with minimal discomfort for the patient. The procedure takes about an hour, and in many cases, it is possible to place the dental implants simultaneously.
